Tinkertubs are what most Blatrtid ships are called. There appear to be distinctions between types of tinkerubs or something, but anyway most blattid ships are tinkertubs.
Not sure what they look like, really, and I guess they're somehow of an old enough design line that many aspects of their creation has been woven into the ecosystems of some of their occupied planets (i.e., they've been there long enough to have that planet natrually produce a lot of what they need---even pretty refined materials and chemicals. So tinkertubs would have those blah brown curves that characterize all blattid things. Those blattid things.
