Post-Aging
Medicine and technology have advanced to the point where human life can be maintained indefinitely. This has created established struggles between those who have lived long enough to establish both reat family weatlh & individuasl power and those who, well, want to reproduce and implicitly change those who are in power. It both slows down some ways in which society prgresses and allows great (localized) stores of huan knowledge--some akin to the greatest AI banks.
Most of the information about our age (I mean the 1990s - 2090s) is from the "dead web." A trove of partially-overwritten files with a bunch of dead links. And few find reason to try to piece all of those links back together (the protocol doesn't exist and rebuilding it to recrawl everything without messing up), so it's just like a library without call letters or shelving. And most of it isn't books, though; it's mostly ads for porn sites. Good for a few teen-age posters, but not for some scholarship to crawl through that as my academic career. Get an undergrad for that shit.
People are different colors. Not like melatonin different, like purple or teal or---with really pricey treatments---different skin patterns like tiger and paisley.
