Not a big thing (since it's so shallow and cheesy), but a planet with a long-dead civilization. The geological strata suggest that there was an unexplainable layer of old rock sandwhiched between new right when their civilization ended: Going theory is that someone diverted outer system rocks at the living planet and wiped all life there out with these rocks.
