Using quantum interface (ie., strong computing power( devels into understnading himself at a la Placean level. Understands his every moment to the precisin of predicting the next at six Σ . . . to nearly a Harry Seldon level (or was it The Mule? No, it was Selfon, I'm about that sure)
But his body wasn't meant to be probed lkike that. The spots where the machines connect to his body don't last forever. Eventually he has to move to other flesh points. But he's running out of good flesh points.
